The Montblanc Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days fountain pen in the Doué version takes up the rail journey across America from the novel by Jules Verne. The dark blue lacquered precious resin comes with a metal cap.

Nib with travel dates

The 18 K gold nib is made by hand and shows the dates 14/11 and 21/12. They stand for Fogg's departure from Yokohama and the day he meant to be back in London.

Train, heart and chain

A train is lasered onto the cap, and the clip carries a red lacquered heart for Fogg and Aouda. A chain pattern on the cone recalls Passepartout uncoupling the locomotive.
