When it was first launched in the 1930s, this fountain pen marked the beginning of "haute de gamme" writing instruments for elmo - Montegrappa's original name.

"DUCALE" refers to the famous Doge's Palace, the Palazzo Ducale, one of Venice's landmarks and a masterpiece of Gothic architecture.

Located on St. Mark's Square, between the Piazzetta and the Pier, it embodies the essence of Venetian culture and tradition. This has been incorporated into a writing instrument that exudes sophistication and dignity – the DUCALE PEN.

For MONTEGRAPPA – who have been based in Bassano del Grappa for over a century, just 80 km from Venice – the DUCALE, through its form, reflects the proximity of this remarkable city and the grandeur of its architecture.

Consisting of a rollerball, a ballpoint pen, and a fountain pen, DUCALE writing instruments are made of black resin and are either combined with palladium or rose gold. Furthermore, DUCALE writing instruments are available in Pearly Emperador Brown combined with rose gold.

Depending on the owner's writing habits, the fountain pen is available with a nib in F, M, or B.
