Montegrappa Grappa - Limited Edition

New addition to the "CultCollection" - The Grappa Pen

This writing instrument is inspired by a world-famous specialty from Italy, grappa. At the same time, it is a homage to Bassano del Grappa, the city where Montegrappa has been at home since 1912, as well as one of the best distilleries of fine grappas.

With grappa, the quality of the grapes and the "secret recipes" used in distilling give each grappa its unmistakable character and personality.

Some of Italy's best winemakers produce their own grappa, such as the "Super-Tuscans" Sassicaia and Tignanello, regularly achieving top awards - a veritable knighthood for the respective wineries.

Grappa tastings are held in four categories: "Young," "barrel-aged," "aromatic," and "flavored." In their complexity and intensity, they are in no way inferior to first-class wine tastings. Grappa enthusiasts around the world have developed their own young culture around grappa.

The Grappa Pens

The tradition and aesthetics of grappa distillation have influenced the design of the newest member of Montegrappa's CultCollection. Copper, brass, and stainless steel are used for the cap and cone of the Grappa Pens - processed in the same way as the boilers and pipes of a distillery.

The copper parts have been hammered by Montegrappa's craftsmen. Small screws - both decorative and functional - make the technical inspiration of the instruments tangible. The reminiscence to grappa production continues in the clip, whose design and embellishment evoke the copper pipes typical of a distillery.

Real cork, as used for good grappa bottles, is inlaid into the cap top. Above it, intricately cut out, is Montegrappa's typical octagonal symbol. Finally, the two-tone 18k gold nib is adorned with grapevines.

The Grappa CultCollection Grappa Pen is available as a fountain pen, with both cartridge and converter filling systems, and as a rollerball.

The edition is 1912 pieces each, a reference to Montegrappa's founding year.

The cone end is reserved for the engraved limited edition number.

Embodying the spirit of grappa, the Grappa Pens are presented in a bulbous bottle that rests firmly on a specially made wooden base. The bottle, hand-blown by local glass artists, is adorned with the Montegrappa crest in a metallic finish.
